Powerplay Characters - Minor Nobles

A Kingdom is built on more than just your own family, the other Nobles of Amber have their place in the centre of the multi-verse.

Baron and *Lady Bayle

Official vintner to Amber, and a highly respected noble loyal to the crown, the Bayle family has two passions, dogs and wines.

Amongst the richest families in all of Amber, the Bayle family own a large estate in the city in addition to Arbor House, their ancestral home some thirty miles east of Mt Kolvir.

Baron Bayle is a stout man in his sixties, with cheeks and nose red with veins and a head crowned with a magnificent head of white hair. His wife, only a few years younger, looks only half her age, and still beautiful after all these years.

Vinta Bayle

Third daughter of Baron and Lady Bayle, Vinta has only just turned 21, and seems to have inherited her fathers intelligence and her mothers beauty

Guaranteed to turn even the most jaded head, she is sure to leave a trail of devastation in her wake.

Lord Chantris

One of the greatest military minds in Amber, and head of the second oldest family around, the House of Chantris have always been staunch supporters of Oberon and his line. A tall, skinny man with blue eyes and a long nose, Lord Chantris always stares intently when being spoken to, speaks archaically and dresses formally in gold and grey.

*Lord Danesh

Head of the Amber Castle Guard, his loyalty to the Throne is absolute and legendary. Clad in black and gold, he is one to always speak his mind and is not known to mince his words.

*Lord Feldane

Head of House Feldane, Tujurane Ibold Elfant Feldane the Forth has proved to be a surprising master of tactics and strategy. Young with an old mind Tujurane looks to be someone to keep and eye out for.

Lord and *Lady Henden

Steward and Secretary of Castle Amber, Lord Henden is a nervous and impatient man seemingly overwhelmed by the responsibilities of his position.

Bearer of the Royal Seal, Lord Henden is of average size and a little thin with a slight potbelly. He wears thick spectacles and is robed in grey and gold, and at his side is a staff topped with a ball of amber resin with a tiny unicorn held within.

Lord and Lady Henden live in the Castle with their children.

Lord Karm

The current Lord of Karm is quite young, just out of his teens, and not yet ready for battle. Armars Karm is red-haired, brown-eyed and thin. His features are sharp and intelligent, and he is eager to learn and yearns for the experiences of life.

*Lady Karm

The most beautiful woman in all of Amber, (the Royal Family excluded) Lady Karm is single, has just turned 21 and is the sister to the current head of the House of Karm.

*Lord Rein

As a child Rein was a thin, wise kid, already a candidate for court jester, until the day he picked himself up a lute, and taught himself how to play it

Now Corwin's better in the ways of words and music, his colours are crimson and his words golden.

*Dame Margot

The Grand Dame of Amber and Mistress of the Protocols, Margot is the authority on all things to do with court etiquette. She has instructed many of the Amberites and their children in the arts of heraldry, dance, courtesy, manners, poise, charm, sewing, the healing arts, and many other skills.

She is ancient, but still beautiful, though she wears her now white hair under a veil. Her duties now include the overseeing of the next generation of Amberites, and ensuring that all things in the Castle are impeccable.

Her colours are gold and white.

Sir Randel

A courtier of Castle Amber, favoured by Vialle and Flora, Randel is skilled in all the courtly virtues, an expert dancer and singer, with a special skill in poetry.

Once described as "tall thin, dark and generally smiling", as good a description as any, he wears dark colours, and a black doublet, which sets off his mane of curly black hair.

Impeccably dressed, he is modest and sincere, and has a wake of admirers amongst Castle Amber's serving girls.

*Droppa Ma Pantz

Quite often crude, rude and vulgar, Droppa came from an Earth like world performing in a Las Vegas casino. Hired by Oberon he is the Court Jester, a role he relishes especially as he is traditionally immune from retaliation from those he insults.

Droppa is short, thick-set and wears loud clothing. He has red hair, and chain smokes, and his face tends to be red from the influence of strong drink. In other words, he's nothing like any of the other Amberites, and likes it that way.
